This City of Puglia, main town of the Province, can be
found in the Salentina Peninsula. Situated 12 km from the
Adriatic Coast and 25 km from the Ionic coast, Lecce
is founded in the centre of a fertile plain, whose grounds
are covered by limestone marly, widely used in the local
building (the Ground of Lecce or Pietra Leccese (stone)).
In the City streets and its “courtyards, there’s
a grace and original elegance, and in particular they have
their lineal ascendants far away from the decorative Roman-Pugliese
tradition, although connecting to Baroque of the Roman kind...

This is a City and port of Puglia, on the lower Adriatic.
Bari which can be divided into two parts:
the Old City and the New City, extends along the banks of
the sea for around 7km, following the course of magnificent
seashore.
The Old Part, constructed on the peninsula between the New
and the Old Ports, is dominated by the beautiful Roman Cathedral
of San Sabino (11th Century; rebuilt in the 12th and 13th
and readjusted during the 18th Century) and by the mighty

Taranto, in ancient times, one of the
most rich and important centres of Greater Greece, was constructed
on the extreme eastern side of the Istmo, which was joined
to the Peninsula Salentina continent, on the coastal road
called the Mare Grande (Big Sea) and an ample lagoon called
Mare Piccolo (Small Sea) (it is for this reason that Taranto
is noted as “the City with Two Seas”).
The Old City is located in the centre, on an island between
two canals, where once upon a time there was an old acropolis,
characterized by tortuous, narrow roads on which sit the
oldest monuments of the City...
